About California State University-Chico

California State University-Chico was founded in 1887. It is the second oldest institution in the state of California that is a member of the California State University system. Today, CSU-Chico hosts small classroom sizes that hold no more than 30 students at a time. The student body is comprised of 34 American states, a single U.S. territory, and 43 international countries and nations. CSU-Chico's history and traditions date back to over 100 years in the past. California State University-Chico Application Requirements

First-year students should provide the admissions office with an array of supplemental documents including official high school transcripts, satisfactory SAT or ACT scores, satisfactory GPA, and a $55 application fee.

Graduate students should possess a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution. To be considered for admissions, graduate students should submit official transcripts, a satisfactory GPA, satisfactory GRE or GMAT scores, and English language proficiency scores from a TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE exam. Depending on the selected department, students will have to supply other supplemental materials such as a personal statement, letters of recommendation and a resume.

Tuition and Financial Aid

Undergraduate students who are taking up to six units will pay $2,699. Students taking more than six units will pay $3,905.

Graduate students who are taking no more than six credits will pay $3,116. Students taking more than six units will pay $4,622.

CSU-Chico offers 40% of first-year undergraduate students an average financial aid scholarship amount of $5,451. The university also provides 44% of first-year students with federal grant awards totaling $5,058.
